Pre-season meeting
All went well and this was, as usual well attended and supported. Thanks to everyone who came. If you haven't sorted out a mewmebership form and this year's subs, don't worry, it's still early days.

U15s outthink Nonington
In what could be the title deciding match in their Indoor League, the U15's gave a really splendid display of controlled pressure on their previously unbeaten opponents, Nonington.
A steady batting performance against some excellent Nonington bowling and 21 in the last over resulted in a good but gettable total of 108, with 47 from George, good contributions from Tom Payne and Nathan Smith and 3 off the last ball from U13 Ollie Boughton.
Wickets were the key. And they fell as Nonington batsmen remained aggressive in the face of a rising run rate. Pick of the bowling was Ollie, with 2-13 off his two overs, but Callum continues to be the most difficult bowler in this League to get bat on and the inswinging yorker which took Kieron Burret's leg stump was probably his best ball.
Great performances in really well-directed field, including a sharp stumping from Tom and at least six 3s turned into no run by Jamie Keeler at square leg. After a crucial field change we were treated to the best indoor catch off the ceiling anyone can remember by Callum and Nonington, after a desperate run out off the next ball, were all out for 67 with almost 4 overs to spare.
Full scorecards will be available in the Saxon Shore League this summer and some indoor U15 cards are already appearing, experimentally. The outdoor fixtures are all present and correct on the site.

The 2005 season
The new season starts less than three weeks from now. The first Saxon Shore fixtures are on May 1st and training will begin shortly. This year Sibtion Park will be running girls cricket and there will be a special Introductory Day at Sibton for all those who wish to participate.

2004 Indoor Season
U13s and U15s competed in the Saxon Shore Indoor League. The U13s narrowly missed out on winning the league in a epic game against St. Margarets, which they unfortunately lost. In the end they had to settle to third place, one more win would have been enough to secure them League victory.
The U15s is yet to be decided and we are nicely poised in second place, losing only the one match to Nonington B. Victory this Sunday, over our rivals Nonington B would see us going top of the table.
